My name is Slav Bitman and I’m a State General Agent for American Income Life Insurance Company in North Carolina. I’ve been with the Company for almost 14 years.
I started with American Income Life through my best friend. He had a job with AIL and thought it was such a phenomenal opportunity that he wanted to introduce me to it. I always wanted to own my own business, but never had enough money to open one. This Company said, ‘We’ll teach you what to do, show you how to do it, and provide you with the finances to start your own business. You can be in business for yourself but with a tremendous support system’. Through the years, I’ve experienced success with AIL. I love it! It absolutely changed my life! I retired my parents a number of years back, paid off their house, and paid off their cars. I was able to provide opportunity for my family, putting my kids in a good school and living in a nice house.
More importantly, it’s the effect the AIL opportunity has on other people. Initially when you start out, it’s about money. I wanted to be financially independent. That’s not only why I started with this company, but why I stayed with it. But ultimately, the true reward comes from seeing other people grow, seeing other people buy their first new car, put their kids in a good school, buy their first new house – not live paycheck to paycheck, go on vacation, and enjoy the lifestyle that American Income Life provides.
I was a kid growing up in the Ukraine thinking of American ‘income’, of being a business owner, enjoying life, helping people out, having an impact in multiple ways on a wide variety of people. Now I’m doing it.
American Income Life allows you, as a sales person, to have an impact on your clients. Whether they recognize it now or not, at some point in their lives every single one of them will be glad that they have our products.
As you move into management and ultimately into a leadership position, you impact the people you bring on board. They’re like your kids. You feel fulfillment as you watch your kids grow and reach new milestones in their success. That’s how I feel about my Agents.
I’ve produced more than eight State General Agents in the last 10 years. I watch these guys succeeding and doing well financially. Ultimately, I believe American Income Life doesn’t just help you become a better business person. It helps you become a better person through learning and being associated with such great individuals.
Today, AIL has more to offer than it did when I first started in 1997. We’re looking at so many different avenues. Consider bonuses that went from being $300 a month – which at that time, I thought phenomenal – to my Agents making $1,500 to $2,000 a week in bonuses. The management team is looking at $20,000 to $30,000 a month in bonus.
The opportunity to become a State General Agent is open to everybody today. Anybody can accomplish it. I’m a good example. If I can do it, anybody can do it.
Our dream to achieve a $250 million dollar goal is almost here. It will be here before we know it. I can’t wait to see this Company attain a billion dollars of business.
I’m definitely here for life. There is no question about it. I’m going to be here as long as American Income Life will have me. I’m going to do my best to continue to honor people like Roger Smith, like yourself, like Mark. The Senior leadership of this Company truly believes in its people and treats them like its biggest asset. That attitude is phenomenal – especially nowadays. With forty-five percent growth in two years and 14 record breaking quotas, it’s an exciting time to be here. I look forward to continuing to be part of this Company as I push for that billion dollars a year goal and see where it takes me.
